6/5/2014 - Little Pen Lost has been selected to the Marblehead Festival of the Arts film festival and will screen Thursday, July 3rd at 9pm at Crocker Park in Marblehead. A second screening will be on Saturday, July 5th at 10am at the Marblehead Abbot Public Library.
3/28/2014 - Little Pen Lost has been selected to the Myrtle Beach International Film Festival and will screen Thursday, April 24th at 6pm at Carmike Cinema in Myrtle Beach, SC.
2/26/2014 - Jimmy's House of Hugs screened at the Marblehead Winter Film Festival in Marblehead. Jimmy's was an official selection in the 2006 Marblehead Festival of the Arts summer festival and again in the 2007 winter festival at which it was voted the local favorite.
1/3/2014 - Little Pen Lost has been selected for the Flathead Lake International Cinemafest in Polson, MT. The festival runs January 24th - 26th. - Susan and the Company Picnic is an Official Selection of the 2014 Houston Comedy Film Festival short screenplay competition. There were only six selections out of 44 entries. The festival is on January 30th and 31st.
10/13/2013 - Little Pen Lost has been selected for the Fargo Fantastic Film Festival and will screen on Saturday, October 19th at 7pm in Fargo, ND.
10/8/2013 - Little Pen Lost was selected for the Central Massachusetts Film Festival and will screen on Friday, October 18th at 7pm at The Perfect Game in Worcester, MA.
10/5/2013 - Little Pen Lost was the Invitational Challenge Short Film Winner at the Broad Humor Film Festival two weeks ago. Thank you Broad Humor Film Festival!
9/16/2013 - Little Pen Lost will premiere at the Broad Humor Film Festival on Saturday, September 21st at 3pm, at Electric Lodge Performing Arts Center -- 1416 Electric Avenue, Venice, California 90291. You may purchase tickets here.
8/23/2013 - A little slow in the update but on August 11th, we filmed Little Pen Lost, starring Alison Wachtler, Zele Avradopoulos and Julio Robles. Our DP was Bill Millios (Back Lot Films) and the rest of our crew was Marc Vadeboncoeur and Stephen Radochia. Credits to Lauren Duffy, Jeremy and Linnea Ward, too. Now we're in post with Julia editing and Jeremy doing music. Thank you, everyone!
6/22/2013 - Today we held a reading for Julia's two short screenplays, Beat 'Em and Susan and the Company Picnic. We were fortunate to have an incredibly talented group of actors read. 9/19/2012 - Julia's short screenplay, Beat 'Em, is a finalist in the Broad Humor Film Festival's screenplay competition. The festival runs September 27th to 30th in Venice, CA.
9/16/2011 - Julia Radochia's new short screenplay, Susan and the Company Picnic, is one of the finalists in the Broad Humor Film Festival's screenplay competition. The festival runs September 29th through October 2nd in Venice, CA. For more information on the festival, please go to the Broad Humor website. 6/29/2011 - Thank you to Angelo Athanasopoulos, Zele Avradopoulos, Kevin Fennessy, Alyce Householter, Harry McEnerny, Maria Natapov, Barbara Papesch, Casey Preston, Stephen Radochia, Scarlett Redmond, Matt Rouillard, Maria-Pia Shuman, and Ken Toomey who participated i the table reading for Jimmy's House of Hugs, on June 25th and 26th. - To follow up on the Flappers Comedy event, neither film was voted in to the next round, but, according to my "rep", the other filmmakers had the friend factor going for them. My very honest, former theatre-critic friend told me that both films got lots of laughs and were received very well, which was much more important to me than the votes. 4/30/2011 Jimmy's House of Hugs and I Just Want to Eat My Sandwich have been chosen to screen in the Comedy Short Film Festival at the Flappers Comedy Club in Burbank, CA on Sunday, May 8th. The audience will vote for its favorite films that then will compete for a spot in the Burbank International Film Festival. For more news please check out our Facebook page.
